for indoors I would actually say socks with the sorta grip thing at the bottum of it you can buy that sorta thing at like wal-mart, but if outside I would say maybe some really light fitting sneakers
You are not supposed to wear shoes. Yoga teaches you to stand on your feet evenly with strength and you can’t do this with shoes on. if you really need them, make sure they do not support your arch and that they will not shift when you push your feet away/apart.
I don’t recommend socks either, when you do downward dog or any other posture that pushes against your feet, they will roll off your feet.
I have even noticed that I have to roll up my sleeves occasionally to get into beginner headstand positions.
