You don’t wear shoes, socks are optional. You can wear a tshirt and gym shorts/sweat pants.

Sit in the back and observe the first few classes. If you don’t know how to do something just look at the people in front of you.

Yoga cannot be compared with GYM. It is done very slowly with concentration. You should be well trained before you teach others. You should not wear shoes, you can wear light cotton clothes. Early morning you can practice. But very important thing you should be well trained.

Hi, whatever you wear to the gym is fine for yoga. You want to be comfortable while moving. Yoga is practiced barefoot but I admit I’ll sometimes wear grip socks on a cold day.

It is proper to arrive at a yoga class a few minutes early and be sitting comfortably on your mat so you are ready when the teacher is. However, in gyms that is not always possible because whichever class that was in the room before yoga may run over time and everybody just rushes in to get started.

Sit in the back to begin with and don’t worry how you look. Yoga is non-judgemental and your teacher will observe and help adjust you into proper alignment or deeper into the pose.

    Namaste
