I’ve never taken a class like this before and am a little cynical about the “yoga type”.None of my friends want to take this with me and I also am not a fan of half naked people in my face plus the classes are a trek. Anyone know any good Yoga dvds? I want to be toned and fabulous.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackbackdon’t be a punk. take a class.it’s not a big deal & there aren’t naked people in ur face. it’s relaxed & not embarassing at all. no one stares at u in yoga. they’re all too busy with their poses. yoga alone is boring & u won’t be as motivated. the classroom atmosphere is great.
for yoga, you really need an instructor to make sure you’re doing it right. you wear loose fitting clothes, but are completely covered. I know what you mean by the “yoga type”, but lots of people take yoga. all your friends will be jealous when you look more gorgeous than they do.
I’d suggest a class so the instructor can assist you with the poses at first. No worries about the people in class looking at you, they’ll all be too focused on their own postures. I’d suggest going to class at a yoga studio, rather than a gym. I find it to be more meditative, and the instructors are more into the “yoga” aspect of it, rather than just a workout.
As for DVD’s, I really like YogaZone’s collection. There are different levels, but also each DVD walks you through level options, so you won’t “outgrow” them when you become more advanced. Link is below.
Namaste!
