Yoga is awesome. Do a Google search on it. You will find an unbelievable amount of information. I used to take about a half hour every day to do stretches (asanas), and breathing (pranayama), as well as meditation. It’s very relaxing. You will find yourself far less stressed. Though don’t expect immediate results. Things take time. Read the book: “Autobiography of a Yogi” by Paramhansa Yogananda. Awesome book.

I’m sure you already know, but yoga came from Hinduism and Buddhism as a way to to level out your Karma. At least that is the way that I understood it when I did my research paper on the two religions. Discipline, and breathing techniques are a huge factor in yoga. If you want to start practicing yoga, check out FitTv in the mornings or if you have the Wisdom channel. Both have good routines. Good luck.

I’ve experienced wonderful benefits from yoga on spiritual, emotional, and physical levels. I need less sleep than before I started practicing, and my general health as well as outlook on life has drastically increased.
The great thing about yoga is it’s all about you. Every pose will look different for every person, and that’s ok. We all have different reaches, different strengths, and different weaknesses. In yoga this is all accepted.
Check out some yoga dvd’s, or a book on yoga, or go to a local class, if available. I think you’ll really enjoy it.
